Pirkei Avot

As the nightfall is approaching, I have my grandmother in my mind before I will light the Shabbat candles; though not the same as my grandmother did with a special wick from my grandparents’ city of sorrow which is my city of joy, our Yer, our beloved Jerusalem. Since Passover, I’ve asked myself the same question over an over again, will the kindling of light on a Friday evening that began with Sarah now stop with my paternal grandmother and my maternal grandmothers or will I gather all of my courage and carry this torch onto the next generation. I’ve decided to carry on. I shall do for the love I had and have for my grandparents before my memory of them will dim inside of my brain into a mysterious time of my life. Shabbat Shalom!”

Here, I want to share my thoughts on spirituality.
